We are looking for a Sourcing Lead to join our team in Wolverhampton. Under the direction of the Site Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic sourcing plans, including make vs buy decisions, supplier identification and selection, negotiating and closing high-value long-term agreements, and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities Include

Develop strategic sourcing plans across multiple commodity groups.

Facilitate make vs buy strategy decisions.

Evaluate the global market environment.

Manage commodity strategic plans to meet business requirements.

Identify, select, and develop strategic supplier partnerships.

Develop supply channels to reduce lead time, increase quality and delivery, and lower total costs.

Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations.

Lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels.

Key Skills And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business.

Progressive experience in managing programs or complex contracts.

Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Program Management is desirable.

Strong business acumen and ability to resolve supply chain issues.

Knowledge of problem-solving, continuous improvement, and lean principles.

Good negotiating skills and understanding of procurement and contractual law.

Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and formal presentations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Additional Information

Significant travel, often at short notice, during non-standard working hours.

Clean driving license and experience with MS Office software and computer systems are essential.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
